The World of Ihsan & his Little People
it is his own community - school, the market, the town square with familiar actions & sounds all around his own town ...... concerts in the town square.......school children singing the "A-B-C" song.....little boy Eddie rides his skateboard & little girl pulls her wagon on the moving sidewalk.....a blue car moving on the roadway.....the cash register at the market rings .... shopkeeper Sam sells fruits & veggies..... .Teacher Kathleen sits at the umbrella table to have lunch ....and many more activities he can imagine and create to play with the little people characters in a pretend world of his own..

HOSPITAL
anyone who's ever cared for a sick toddler knows how difficult it can be to keep him/her down...he was reluctant to slow down.....especially when he's on the road to recovery.....with the IV still connected to his tiny hand, he was so eager to move around......and explore the room .....it was such a relief when we were finally be allowed to leave the hospital that afternoon

HOSPITAL
being around unfamiliar faces in unfamiliar surroundings...being poked and dosed with medicine...having the intravenous line attached......nothing and no one....not even M.A.M.A could make the experience completely painless for Ihsan ...he became clingy, frightened and unhappy .....his appetite was sluggish (just offered him fluids frequently throughout the day).......nothing much we could do.....but to only dose him with TLC (tender loving care) regularly
on the second day, abg Iman came to cheer up his little brother .... he took his brother to the play room and played together there........

HOSPITAL
We didn't get the luxury of advance notice to be physically and mentally prepared when Ihsan had to be hospitalized at 11 that night ....he was wheezing (his first time)...we couldn't get to see his physician during the day as there was no empty slot...so we had to take him to the pediatric after hours at about 9.30 pm......he was treated with nebulizer ...and he seemed to look fine....after his second dose of nebulizer....he was even better but after checking his oxygen count ....the level was found to be unsatisfactory....

NOT YET
He's not into the swim yet.....unlike his big brother, he's scared of a big pool .....we took him to the family aquatic center just to help him gain confidence and comfort in the water....but he wasn't as excited as his brother ....hopefully when we want to sign him up for swimming lessons after his 3rd b'day , he 'll be fine...

bye bye ...see u later

NEVER WANT TO LEAVE
They want to spend some time each day outdoors at a playground, in a nearby park or anywhere where they can run around , climb, jump....and they love it more if we get up and go with them - playing catch especially..
the problem is they never want to leave the playground or park when it's time to go....."are you ready to go home?" most of the time the answer we can expect is "No!"....it's always difficult to convince them to leave without a fight and a tantrum....and at times we have to remove them physically ....but we are the parents and are still the boss, after all
