SCREAMING
|
|
he's certainly enjoying performing the screeching & screaming around the house...but we've got constant headaches from it.....it is more annoying when his big brother starts joining him like a competition...... getting Iman to give it up is easy but not with Ihsan.....while everyone around him is developing a migraine, he's having a blast screeching to the max....

SWITCHING
|
|
Ihsan has outgrown his snug ride ......he has been facing rearward in that baby carrier for almost 14 months already......and now he's ready to be moved into a toddler car seat.....so we got him a 3-in-1 car seat ( which can be converted from infant to booster & can take children up to 100 pounds ).......
As he now weighs more than 20 pounds and can sit up well alone, he can start facing forward ....and he's so happy with the transition

The Museum of Science and Industry is the right place to experience the wonders and fun of science. There were so many interesting exhibits.....however we didn't have enough time to visit all ......among the exhibits that we like most :-
- the U-505 submarine - the only German WWII submarine in US and it's the real one
- A 3,500-square-foot model railroad, one of the largest in the world.
- Human heart model - nearly 20-foot-tall walk-through model.
- Collections from NASA.
- Boeing 727 that we can walk through
- IMAX theatre

1,000 Feet Above
|
|
We experienced Chicago's best views spanning up to 80 miles & 4 states ( Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois) from the Hancock Observatory located on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center. We went up to the observatory using the fastest lift in North America.
| Quote: | Fun facts about The Hancock Observatory, a.k.a. "Big John":
• My elevators move at 1,800 feet a minute.
• You can see up to 4 states: Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and, of course, Illinois from the observatory.
• My Skywalk is 1,000 feet above the street. (Check out the temperature and wind gauges to see what it is like 94 floors above Chicago!)
• The builders used enough steel to make 33,000 cars.
• My black aluminum skin would stretch out to cover 12 football fields.
• My weight in steel is 46,000 tons or 92 million pounds.
• If I stood in the deepest part of Lake Michigan I would still stick out of the water! |

Stroller Struggle
|
|
no kids like to be denied the pleasure of exploring on two feet even though they can't walk fast enough to get us where we want to go when we need to get there....
When Ihsan started screeching & screaming......we just knew that he didn't want to ride in his stroller...but most of the times during the trip we didn't have time for that....
These pictures were taken when we let him walk after he made several annoying attempts to resist the stroller......he was so happy to be released.......for us the chase was on from the moment he stepped on the floor....... he wandered off to look at this or that.....he went full speed straight ahead........we were constantly chasing after him and we're going crazy......so even before his little legs give out we put him back in the stroller .
