Pool

we wanted to prepare him for proper swimming lessons that we decided to bring him to the pool more often.....but it seems that he is just afraid of water .(.menangih-nangih dlm pool.... nampak gayanya dia cuma berani dlm bathtub saja  ) ........hopefully we could do something to help overcome his fear of water before he turns 3 in spring

somewhere around late April , we took the boys for a close-up view of animals on the farm in our area......a pretty cool tour & demonstrations
Iman enjoyed the most of course ...........he just loves animals & nothing could dampen his excitement for the tour ....he wanted to know something about every animal.......his eyes lit up as he got to experience firsthand milking the cow .....he also got the chance to be like a real cowboy and rope cattle.......it's such a great experience for him...
Ihsan, on the other hand, was terrified of almost everything there ..... He closed his eyes and covered his face with his hands most of the times ....nothing, nothing, NOTHING would get him take his hands off his face . .......I sure hope he gets less fearful as time goes by

We're back
|
|
lots of things have happened in the past couple of months but now it's all back to the good old days.....okay, let's rewind ....
let's see the highlights of each month
May - we celebrated Chik Ja's big day
- went on a trip to Chicago the next day (did the whole brotherly sisterly quality time thing as Pakcik Azlan came along....we had so much fun esp when everything's paid for ..how generous of you , Chik Ja & Pakcik Azlan ......thank you so much & semoga dimurahkan lagi rezeki )
June -Iman 's summer break began
- Mak Tok & Tok Ba came to visit.....
July -Mak Tok & Tok Ba went home ( leaving behind two little boys who just couldnt get over them )
August -normal life resumes in hopes that ...this page would recover from its slump .....that it would continue to share bits and pieces of the boys' daily life ...... that mama would spare some time everyday to browse around other kiddies' fp - lots of catching up to do!.. (I have had all this hanging on my mind for what seems like ages now since i last updated this page...well, it is ages!)...alright, high hopes but entirely possible....

We went to visit our friends' new bundle of joy and Ihsan seemed to like her so much.....I'm glad to see that he was gentle with the baby & didnt show any signs of jealousy when I picked the baby up......
The whole time we were there, he repeatedly asked me to lift him up so that he could be able to see the baby who was sound asleep in the crib ( he said "na see bibi")......he tried to touch the baby whenever he got the chance ......and enjoyed patting her on the head.
and when we got home, he just couldnt get over the baby thing and kept saying "Awie bibi" (meaning Tante Awie's baby)....

Ihsan & diaper

I can't get over how big my little guy is getting. When he sees me, he comes running over to me and slams into me with such strength..... I'm amazed at how much force 26 lbs. can be.
although I always see him a bit smaller than other kids around who are his age, he officially has grown out of most of his 18-24 month clothing, and started wearing a 2T.........he's no longer wearing a size 4 diaper (dah pakai size plg besaq utk Pampers a size 5 ) ......
one of his mischievous things that gives Mama & Papa a headache is when he strips off his diaper and runs away so we can't catch him and put a new one on  (he really really enjoys doing it )

A simple celebration

Well, it is official that our little guy is 2 two years old now.....however that ocassion was not marked with the fanciest party or the biggest gatherings ( due to mama & papa malas nak buat, bad timing & limited budget ) ......i could still remember when we had a pretty huge birthday bash for Iman (his 3rd ), I was up all night preparing & exhausted .... instead of enjoying my baby on his special day, I ended up being a chef in the kitchen cooking for 30 guests (couldnt afford to simply order food from any halal restaurants in the neighborhood) .....so I finally got wise and said cake, ice cream, presents and my boy ....and that's all! ......
So, this time we followed our usual pattern - we celebrated the happy ocassion in a simple, understated way where the star of the day gets the attention he deserves ....... we took the boys for a little trip to their all-time fav restaurant Chuck E. Cheese's (surely not because of the food but for the games, rides, climbing tubes there ) . ... Ihsan had a blast and was happy as long as there were games to play ( the order came with tokens for the small rides & games )..... .later that evening, we all left the restaurant with every tummy well filled & the boys were absolutely giddy with excitement.
